A delightful four-track offering from Sapphire on Liquid Brilliants, featuring a couple of collabs with Ficci alongside original material and oodles of gentle, soulful vibes. First up is the eponymous track of the EP "The Next Day", all shimmering melodies, bleepy Rustie-like squiggles and blissed out atmospherics. Then there's "Snowdrop" with its beautiful, sonorous quality and delicate, deftly placed beats. Onwards to "Alpenglow", the first colllab with Ficci, which takes things on a more experimental journey before we go deep into the rabbit hole with "Human Sanctum" - a superb piece of music, reminiscent of Med School's Unquote.
